Suzuki CSI Survey competition winner Alan Barrie shares his thoughts on receiving 1000 pounds worth of Suzuki goodies...
"In the same week that I received a hoax letter about winning the Spanish lottery, I still refused to believe at the time that I had won a competition from Suzuki.
I nearly didn't get round to completing the CSI survey. I say nearly, because obviously I did, but I owe that in part at least to the brilliant customer service I received from Saltire before, during and after the purchase of my new bike and because of this it made me want to feed back my praise in a formal way.
I honestly still refused to believe I was a winner, even whilst browsing the catalogue and website as I completed my 'order form'. It wasn't until I went to DHL to collect the massive cardboard box that it was finally starting to sink in. I was like a kid in a toy shop as I ripped open the box and tried various things on to make sure they fitted.
It was like a second Christmas. Just a follow up visit to Saltire was required to 'show off' my new jacket courtesy of Santa Suzuki and book my bike in to get my new alarm fitted at the same time as its 500 mile service. Once that's all been sorted, I'll have myself a fully sorted bike and nice new riding kit to help kick start my motorbiking in 2010. Now when will it stop snowing?!"
